My Manatee Encounter while snorkeling the Homosassa River.
I make may way over to the where the manatees and resting
on the floor of the river. This sunlight streaming through the waters make a warm cozy niche in which to float. I am in awe of their size and power as I float directly over these gentle giants. Save Dollar$ Use Sofsole Shoe Inserts to Extend the Life of your Hiking Boots
Then I found AIRR insoles by Sofsole at a nearby sporting goods store. I shelled out the $25 as a last ditch effort before reluctantly ordering a new pair of shoes. My first time out was a moderate six mile hike up sand-hills and Coastal bluffs in Tates Hell State Forest. The walk was so comfortable that I forgot I even had shoe problems. My second weekend, I decided to give them a real test by hiking 13 miles up and down the hilly pine ridges of the Withlacoochee State Forest in Citrus County. I am happy to report my heels are blister-free and that my shoes feel GREAT! I am elated that I can extend the life of my Merrells through another hiking season.

The outside of the pack, of course was wet with splashes of water from paddling. After I removed the pack from the kayak, I opened the roll top to find that the contents on top were dry. My hiking boots and socks, which I had put in an oversized zip-lock back for testing purposes, were damp but there an the papertowels I had inserted at the bottom of the pack was soaked Continue reading
